From the Farm to Innovation
AutoVent was founded by Kevin Hoover, whose roots in the dairy farming community of Lancaster, PA, shaped his relentless work ethic and passion for animal welfare.
Faced with the physical challenges of severe flat feet and the tragic loss of his brother, Kevin channeled his energy into self-taught electronics and amateur radio. His journey into automation began on his family’s farm when he taught himself to program logic controllers to create a more efficient, automated ventilation system for their calf barn.
This hands-on, self-taught expertise laid the foundation for a company built on grit, technical curiosity, and a deep understanding of the agricultural industry.
